LUCIE BERNHEIM
Lucie is a diligent and compassionate advocate dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals. Before private practice, Lucie worked as a public defender in King County where she represented hundreds of individuals facing criminal charges. She filed countless motions alleging constitutional violations and governmental misconduct and tried over twenty cases to verdict.
Lucie is on the King County Department of Public Defense Assigned Counsel Panel, Seattle Municipal Court Conflict Attorney Panel, Edmonds Municipal Court Assigned Counsel Panel, Island County Assigned Counsel panel, and she accepts pro bono cases from Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status) and the King County Bar Association (SIJS). She was a sub-contractor with Nielson Koch where she litigated criminal appeals and worked as a temporary staff attorney with TeamChild, an organization providing free legal services to youth and young adults.
Lucie has also worked as an attorney for the Youth Access to Counsel team since its launch in 2022, a state-funded program that ensures youth who are detained or interrogated by law enforcement in Washington State have access to counsel.
